This Walking Blues may be the best they did.

Oh yes it does! The first 7 songs in Set One are excellent. From a usual tuning number LTGTR becomes a great song. Set Two is, well you know. One of the few shows I listen all the way through (well no TJED, OMSN).

How did that Loser not make it on to Dozin' at the Knick? A minor tragedy...

I'll never understand that either. It had to be a conscious decision to leave it off--which makes no sense, b/c clearly it's one of the best--if not THE best version ever...which leaves only the possibility that maybe somehow the SBD tapes were not running at the time they played it or crapped out or something, and they felt the quality of what they were left w/wasn't good enough to include on the CD.....but if it was anything else someone needs to be taken to the tool shed for not recognizing what a travesty they committed. Absolutely one of the great live recording mysteries ever.
